Ineed a red cushion for a page boy to hold the wedding rings on. Does anyone know where I can purchase one in Melbourne or suburbs?
I know this sound cheap…..but the Dollar stores have them, and they are very nice….at least the ones at Dollar Tree. They can be decorated too.

2009 May 17 1Try your local fabric store. You could purchase a small amount of fabric and make a simple pillow, add some ribbon to secure the ring(s) and you're set.
Most of the ring bearers pillows I have seen are white so making one would be your best bet.

2009 May 17 3Places that sell wedding dresses and such will probably have some pillows, but they will be really expensive.
The best thing to do, (if you're not that crafty/don't have time to be crafty) is go to a department store and pick out a small plain red pillow and then u can buy some ribbon or crystals and dress it up a bit. That would be cheapest/easiest.

There are many people on there ( you will have to search for "ring pillow" or "ring bearer" something along those lines. Or sing you use different terms in Australia…then maybe you could use whatever you would call them and possibly there would be someone near you that could provide this service…) that will customize the pillow any way which you please!
Hope this helps a little! : )

Personally, I would just make one, it is very cheap and easy to do. I got my mom to make one for me, my colors are burgundy and black.

2009 May 17 7Walmart has a few affordable choices. You could look online. Or make your own from a throw pillow and ribbon!

2009 May 17 8Do you have any left over red fabric? If you can't find the exact color, buy a traditional ring bear pillow and have a seamstress embellish the pillow with that red fabric as a ruffle, etc. I think the contrast will be stunning!
Good Luck!
